The Strayer University Library offers a number of electronic resources to complement the print materials available in the campus Learning Resources Centers (LRCs).  Some online databases are available only to students registered in a Strayer University class.  Most online databases can be accessed from either your home or office computer, while some of the databases are available only from computers at a campus.

  Horizon Information Portal Strayer Library Online Public Access Catalog. The print resources owned by all campus LRCs can be located by title, author, subject, class code, and other indexes.  Circulating items may be requested for delivery from one campus to another through the LRC staff.
 
  Course Bibliographies - Additional Reading Bibliographies from each course syllabi have been combined and are arranged by Department.
 
Online Databases (To access online databases, students must be currently enrolled and provide ID number, PIN & Zip.  Faculty use first four letters of last name, employee number, and home ZIP code.)

Guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past... traces the usage of words through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources, from classic literature and specialist periodicals to film scripts and cookery books.

Complete text of Merriam-Webster's Third New International Dictionary, Unabridged... 470,000 entries.  Perform basic searches for definitions (or exact words from known definitions through the "Reverse Dictionary" function), as well as etymologies, rhymes, and puzzle answers. Build and execute complex searches utilizing a wide variety of options.

 
  • Strayer Directed Research Papers (DRPs)
A limited number of DRPs are available online.  These DRPs have been approved by the Graduate Department and are available primarily to identify format and general presentation of content.

Strayer students and faculty can access the online catalog of over 400,000 volumes in the UAH Salmon Library and may borrow books directly from their collection.  Access is also available to their electronic book collection.  Access is limited to currently enrolled students and currently employed faculty.
